LGU-Catarman, Camiguin, in partnership with the Provincial Social Welfare & Development Office, is one with the world in celebrating the International Day of Person with Disabilities. The activity was spearheaded by Mayor Kiterio Antonio U. Palarca II and MSWDO Emelyn G. Salutan. Food packs, blankets, mosquito nets among others were distributed to PWD beneficiaries. The International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) is annually observed on 3 December to promote the full and equal participation of persons with disabilities and to take action for the inclusion of persons with disabilities in all aspects of society and development. The theme this year is “Building Back Better: toward a disability-inclusive, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 World”.
